Jessica Azar
Jessica Azar is a Lebanese journalist and television host with over a decade of experience in media, public affairs, and social activism. She gained national attention in 2018 when she ran for parliamentary elections in Lebanon’s Metn district, becoming one of the youngest and most widely discussed candidates for her outspoken views and firm political stance.
Her career spans print, digital, and broadcast media, positioning her as a prominent voice in regional political and social discourse. Jessica began her professional journey with Annahar’s youth platform and NOW Lebanon, contributing to critical national conversations. She later spent nine years at MTV Lebanon as a reporter and senior news anchor.
She later created Al Ahad Mnehke, a program dedicated to women’s empowerment, and went on to launch 40, a one-on-one talk show featuring in-depth interviews with leading celebrities and political figures. The show aired for three seasons on MTV Lebanon and Dubai TV and became known for its candid, thoughtful conversations.
Academically, Jessica holds a Master’s degree in Government from Harvard University, along with executive and graduate certificates in public policy and international relations. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Journalism from Notre Dame University in Lebanon.
