Session Details

As the Belt & Road Initiative reshapes global connectivity, China’s engagement with the Levant and the Eastern Mediterranean is entering a new phase defined by technology, entrepreneurship, and shared economic ambition. This session spotlights Beirut as a strategic gateway between Asia, the Arab world, and Europe—linking markets, cultures, and innovation ecosystems.

Bringing together experts in trade, digital transformation, infrastructure, and investment, the discussion explores new corridors of collaboration: from green tech and smart logistics to AI, manufacturing, creative industries, and cross-border venture capital. How can China and the Levant co-develop solutions, expand market access, and build resilient partnerships that serve both economic growth and regional stability? And what role can Beirut play as a hub for startups, talent, and technology transfer across the Eastern Mediterranean?

This session examines opportunities, challenges, and the future of China–Levant innovation, asking what it will take to move from trade ties to true innovation diplomacy.
