Welcome to the Beirut Business Forum

The Beirut Business Forum brings together leaders, creators, and changemakers from diverse industries and regions for a shared experience of ideas, dialogue, and collaboration. To ensure an atmosphere of openness, professionalism, and respect from the very start, we have established this Code of Conduct.

It sets the expectations for how we engage with one another, both at the event and in all related activities, and outlines behavior that will not be tolerated.

By participating in any Beirut Business Forum activity, you agree to comply with this Code of Conduct which applies to all attendees, speakers, partners, exhibitors, media representatives, and staff involved in the event, both in person and online.

1. Our Golden Rule

Treat others the way you want to be treated.

Every interaction should reflect courtesy, empathy, and professionalism. We are all here to exchange ideas, collaborate, and learn in an atmosphere of mutual respect.

2. Inclusion and Respect

We value diversity and inclusion as strengths of our community. We do not tolerate discrimination or disrespect based on gender, race, color, religion, nationality, age, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, disability, physical appearance, body size, or beliefs.

Political discussions or divisive topics should be avoided within formal sessions. Let us keep the focus on ideas, knowledge, and connection.

3. Behavior Guidelines

  • Debate ideas, not people
  • Listen actively and respect differing perspectives
  • Use polite and professional language at all times
  • Do not engage in harassment, intimidation, bullying, or hate speech
  • Avoid intrusive or unwanted attention, including unsolicited photography or recording
  • Refrain from sexualized language, jokes, or behavior
  • Alcohol consumption should be moderate and responsible
  • Save political or personal disputes for another time and place

If you feel unsure whether your behavior might make someone uncomfortable, always choose respect.

4. Unacceptable Behavior Includes (but is not limited to):

  • Verbal abuse, threats, or offensive comments
  • Disruption of talks or activities
  • Harassment, stalking, or unwanted contact
  • Discriminatory remarks or exclusionary behavior
  • Unwanted photography or video capture
  • Inappropriate physical contact or sexual misconduct
  • Encouraging or supporting any of the above

Any participant violating these rules may be removed from the event without refund.

5. Accessibility and Safety

The Beirut Business Forum strives to be accessible to all participants. If you have specific needs, allergies, or require assistance, please inform a member of our Guest Relations Team at [email protected] in advance, or speak with staff on site.
