1. Definitions

Agreement: means the agreement between you and Bridging Minds regarding the online registration and purchasing of a Ticket for an Event, including these Terms and Conditions

Attendee: means the individual who will attend the Event using a Ticket, regardless of whether they purchased the Ticket themselves.

Bridging Minds: means Bridging Minds SAL (CR: 1033552, MOF: 4036909, VAT: 4036909-601). The terms “we,” “us,” and “our” shall be interpreted accordingly throughout these Terms and Conditions.

Event: means an event or conference organized by Bridging Minds, or an affiliate.

Platform: means online platform operated by Bridging Minds through which you may access information, browse offerings, and purchase Ticket(s). The Platform includes all associated web pages, content, tools, and functionalities made available at https://www.bbforum.co.

Privacy Policy: means the Bridging Minds Privacy Policy available at https://bbforum.co/privacy-policy/.

Purchaser: means every legal entity or natural person that enters into an Agreement with Bridging Minds by purchasing a Ticket for an Event.

Terms and Conditions: means these general terms and conditions that set out the rules for the registration and purchase of Tickets through the Platform for the Events and the terms and conditions for attendance at the Events.

Ticket: means the document that serves as an admission ticket for an Event, including electronic tickets.

VAT: means Value Added Tax (11% under Lebanese law).

you: means the Purchaser and/or the Attendee (as the case may be). The term “your” shall be interpreted accordingly throughout these Terms and Conditions.

2. Introduction

By purchasing a Ticket for an Event through the Platform, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you act on behalf of a company or other legal entity, you represent that you have the authority to bind such entity and its affiliates. If you purchase a Ticket on behalf of another individual, you warrant that you have made them aware of this Agreement and that they have accepted these Terms and Conditions and the Privacy Policy.

Each Ticket that you purchase is a license to attend a particular Event, and is subject to any additional terms or restrictions set forth on that Ticket or as stated by the venue hosting the Event.

Any breach of these Terms and Conditions will cause immediate disqualification of your license to attend the relevant Event, without refund.

3. Payment and Pricing Errors

Tickets can be purchased online using valid Visa or MasterCard credit cards. Your bank may charge additional fees for international cards. If the amount paid is incorrect, we will reimburse any overpayment or require payment of any shortfall. VAT (11%) is added to the invoice according to Lebanese law. All prices are exclusive of VAT unless otherwise stated.

Payments for tickets and sponsorships are processed securely through third-party platforms and payment gateways, including Areeba SAL and KonfHub Private Limited. Bridging Minds does not store or have access to your credit or debit card information.

Please ensure your contact details are accurate at the time of purchase.

4. Order Processing and Confirmation

Once you confirm your Ticket order, you will have 20 minutes to submit payment or the order will be cancelled. Upon successful payment, you will receive an email with your e-Tickets and receipt. If you do not receive your order confirmation, please check your Spam folder or contact us at [email protected]

5. Tickets, Seating, and Limits

Your Ticket entitles you only to admittance to the Event. Certain packages may also allow to attend the Event dinner and/or the closing party. All other costs associated with your attendance (e.g., travel and accommodation expenses) shall be borne solely by you, and Bridging Minds shall have no liability for such costs, unless we agree otherwise with you.

Ticket purchases may be limited to a specified number per person. Unlawful resale or attempted resale, or counterfeit tickets, will result in cancellation without refund. Tickets may not be used for advertising, promotions, or contests without prior written consent. Seat selection is subject to availability.

Upon your arrival at the Event, you will be asked to register. Your Ticket will be scanned, and you will be provided with a badge that will grant you access to the Event and allow you to re-enter the venue if you leave it.

6. Refunds & Return Policy

Refunds are permitted up to thirty (30) days after the purchase of the Tickets, excluding any processing or bank fees. After this period, no refunds will be issued. Refunds will be issued to the original payment method, minus any applicable processing or transaction fees.

Tickets may be transferred once to another attendee with prior written notice to Bridging Minds, provided that the transfer is not for profit or resale. Tickets resold or transferred for profit are void and may be cancelled without refund.

It is solely your responsibility to comply with any government visa requirements and failure to do so does not constitute a basis for a refund.

Holders of free Tickets are not entitled to request any refunds.

7. Disclaimer

Bridging Minds disclaims all liability for content, statements, or opinions expressed by speakers, panelists, moderators, or attendees during any Event. Such views are those of the individuals and not of Bridging Minds or its affiliates. Attendees bear full responsibility for reliance on any content presented during the Event.

8. Attendees’ Conduct and Security

Attendees agree to comply with all behavior and conduct rules at the Event venue. Security measures may include ID verification, bag checks, and restrictions on certain items. Misconduct, unauthorized recording, or harassment will result in removal without refund. Attendees attend at their own risk, and Bridging Minds accepts no responsibility for personal property.

9. Code of Conduct and Privacy Policy

By purchasing a Ticket, you agree to abide by the Beirut Business Forum Code of Conduct available at https://bbforum.co/code-of-conduct/ and the Privacy Policy available at https://bbforum.co/privacy-policy/. These documents form an integral part of these Terms and Conditions.

10. Event Dates and Times

In the event of postponement or rescheduling due to force majeure, you will be offered the choice of a full refund or ticket transfer to the rescheduled date. If the Event is cancelled entirely, you will receive a full refund of the Ticket price paid. Bridging Minds will not be liable for travel or any other expenses that you or anyone else incurs in connection with (i) a cancelled Event, (ii) a postponed Event, or (iii) changes to speakers or sessions.

We reserve the right to modify the Event’s schedule, agenda, sessions and programs, or replace speakers, without prior notice. Such changes do not entitle participants to refunds.

11. Intellectual Property

All intellectual property rights in and to the Event, content, and materials are owned by Bridging Minds or its licensors. You may not use, reproduce, or distribute any materials without prior written permission.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Bridging Minds’ total liability for any loss or damage arising from your purchase or attendance shall be limited to the amount paid for your Ticket. Bridging Minds is not liable for indirect, consequential, or incidental damages or for injury, illness, or loss of property during the Event.

13. Transfer of Rights and Obligations

You may not assign or transfer these Terms and Conditions or any related rights without Bridging Minds’ prior written consent. Bridging Minds may assign its rights and obligations under these Terms and Conditions at any time.

14. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the Republic of Lebanon.
Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Beirut, Lebanon.

15. Amendments

We reserve the right to update these Terms and Conditions at any time. Changes will be posted on the Platform with the effective date indicated. Continued use of the Platform or attendance at Events constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms and Conditions.

16. Force Majeure

Bridging Minds shall not be liable for any delay or failure to perform due to causes beyond its reasonable control, including acts of God, government restrictions, wars, strikes, pandemics, or natural disasters.

17. Entire Agreement

These Terms and Conditions, together with the Privacy Policy and Code of Conduct, constitute the entire agreement between you and Bridging Minds regarding your purchase of Ticket and attendance of Events, and supersede any prior agreements or communications.
